“…Maybe You Will Fix it in One Night”

After finishing up my heavy squat cycle, my coach asked me what I wanted to work on next.20140904_172306[1]

I thought about it for a bit, and I decided that I thought the best move for me, next, would be to fix my strange “power snatch and power clean everything” affliction.

Thus, I have dubbed this new cycle, the “Bitch, Drop it Low” Cycle. Mind you, my coach is calling it the Speed/Technique Cycle. He is clearly wrong. He doesn’t know that, but he is (hi, coach! <3 ).

Anyhow, on my first day, aka earlier this evening, I had 3×6 Above the Knee (off the blocks) Snatches at 40-60% of my 1RM (115#). I started with 55# for the first set, and then did the second two with 60#. Here’s what the last set looked like:

I don’t love it but I ain’t mad. You can hear my coach giving me some tips and saying not to worry, I won’t fix this cue point in a day… and then after the lift, well… the title says it all.
